Margaret Beckley joined the Atlanta Sports Council in 2024 and currently serves as Community Relations Manager. In her role, Margaret leads a broad range of community and external affairs initiatives, connecting and managing local businesses with contracting and economic opportunities surrounding major sporting events. She also oversees legacy programs and community engagement efforts designed to ensure these events create a meaningful and lasting impact throughout the region. Additionally, Margaret helps manage key relationships with city and state government partners,consulatesand Atlanta’s international community, fostering collaboration among public, private and community stakeholders in support of Atlanta’s position as a premier destination for major global sporting events.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Margaret earned dualbachelor’s degrees in InternationalAffairs and Political Science from the University of Georgia, where she also minored in Entomology and earned a certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership. She later received her Master of Public Administration, specializing in Sports Administration, from Georgia State University.
Margaret is actively involved in the Atlanta community, serving on the Board of Directors for the French American Chamber of Commerce and volunteering with the University of Georgia Mentor Program, Virginia-Highland District Association and Atlanta Track Club. She was also a member of the Atlanta Hawks She Leads Women’s Leadership Program.
Mary Beth Calandra joined the Atlanta Sports Council in 2024 and currently serves as Business Development and Marketing Manager. In her role, she supports the recruitment, planning and promotion of major national and international sporting events that strengthen Atlanta’s position as a premier sports destination. Her work has included events such as the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship, 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Southeast Regional, 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and FIFA World Cup 2026, as well as preparations for Super Bowl LXII in 2028 and the 2031 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four.
In addition to her business development responsibilities, Mary Beth oversees the Atlanta Sports Council’s marketing initiatives, helping shape how the organization and Atlanta’s sports story are presented to local,nationaland global audiences. Her work spans creative development, social media, out-of-home advertising, eventpromotionand other integrated marketing efforts supporting the Council and its major events.
Mary Beth attended Kennesaw State University and is a passionate Atlanta sports fan, with a particular love for the Braves. She currently resides in Cobb County.
Diana Trujillo joined the Atlanta Sports Council in 2013 and currently serves as Director of Community Affairs. During her tenure, she has played an integral role in the successful planning and execution of many of Atlanta’s largest sporting events, including the 2018 and 2025 College Football Playoff National Championships, Super Bowl LIII in 2019 and the 2020 NCAA Men’s Final Four, among many others.
Diana has been instrumental in leading the volunteer and community engagement efforts surrounding Atlanta’s major sporting events, helping mobilize thousands of volunteers and connect these events with communities throughout the region.
An active member of Atlanta’s sports community, Diana serves on the Sport Administration Advisory Board at Georgia State University and the Sport Management Advisory Board at Kennesaw State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Kennesaw State University and currentlyresidesin West Midtown Atlanta.
Erin Hendrickson joined the Atlanta Sports Council in 2012 and currently serves as Senior Director of Business Development. In her role, she plays a keyrolein attracting and organizing world-class sporting events that elevate Atlanta’s profile on the national and global stage while generating significant economic impact for the region.
Throughout her tenure, Erin has been instrumental in securing and executing some of Atlanta’s most high-profile sporting events, including the 2018 and 2025 College Football Playoff National Championships, Super Bowl LIII in 2019, the 2020 NCAA Men’s Final Four, 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and the FIFA World Cup 2026, among many others. Looking ahead, the team is preparing to host Super Bowl LXII in 2028 and the 2031 NCAA Men’s Final Four.
Originally from Alpharetta, Erin attended the University of Alabama, where her passion for sports and event planning began to take shape. Now a resident of Sandy Springs, she brings her experience, strategicperspectiveand commitment to creating meaningful economic impact and community engagement through major sporting events and initiatives.
Dan Corso joined the Atlanta Sports Council (ASC) in 1999.As ASC President, he has played a central role in positioning Atlanta as one of the world’s premier destinations for major sporting events.
The Atlanta Sports Council’s mission is tofacilitatethe development of sports in Metro Atlanta by serving as a recruiter and organizer for major sporting events. The organization has successfully hosted numerous high-profile events, including the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Final Four, MLB, NHL, and NBA All-Star Games, WrestleMania XXVII, and the ACC and SEC Basketball Tournaments.
During Corso’s tenure, the Atlanta Sports Council has been named Sports Commission of the Year multiple times by the National Association of Sports Commissions, reflecting the organization’s national leadership and sustained excellence in event delivery.
Currently, Corso serves as President of the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee which oversees the day-to-day operations of Atlanta’s hosting of the Super Bowl LXII in 2028 working closely with key partners including the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, Atlanta United, the City of Atlanta, Georgia World Congress Center, Metro Atlanta Chamber, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and the State of Georgia.
Corso is a graduate of Florida State University and a member of Leadership Atlanta (Class of 2017) and the Rotary Club of Atlanta. He serves on the board of directors of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau and the College Football Hall of Fame (emeritus) and has been named one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Most Admired CEOs.
